THE IMPORTANCE OF TAGS

The producers talked about the importance of branding their productions using tags which served as a way of marketing themselves as the producers behind songs. Kuvie stated that it (tags) does a lot and for the layman, they get to know who magnom , fortune dane or kuvie is and at the same time helps artistes identify them by their works.

STAYING ON TOP

Speaking on what keeps the producers on top of their game and appealing on the music market, fortune dane indicated that he constantly learned from other producers . He cited trying to switch from hip hop to afro beats at point but it simply didn’t work out. Kuvie also stated that besides their style , the choice of artistes they worked with also helps them stay appealing . A higher ranking artiste boosts their brands.

FRUSTRATIONS

Magom indicated that one of the frustrating things for a producer is the delay in the releasing of songs produced by them as they had little to no control over when productions would be released.
