D-black is a music business entrepreneur, executive producer and multiple award-winning Anglophone hip hop / afrobeats artist from Ghana.

Outside of making music, he is the C.E.O of multimedia firm “Black Avenue Works” that specialize in product / brand marketing, celebrity advertising, entertainment consultancy, corporate & social events.

There are subsidiary companies of Black Avenue Works that D-Black is director of namely “Black Avenue Muzik”, an independent Record Label and Distribution outlet, “Black Avenue Clothing” an independent clothing line, “Livewire Events” co-owned by himself and his road and business managers. He is also the creative director of “Black Avenue TV” and “Black Avenue Films”, two new television and film production companies with a movie and television show under their belt in their past year.

D-Black is the official brand ambassador for Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka in Ghana, He is the brand ambassador and has a share marketing deal with Black Sun Energy Drink, D-Black is the face of his Black Avenue Clothing Line and was the brand ambassador for The Rlg Brand of VIVA phones in the West African Sub Region in 2013.

D-Black is also the CEO / Owner of Club Onyx, a plush night club located in the heart of Accra, Ghana in the upscale Cantonments neighbourhood, 3 minutes away from the Presidential Residence.

With two solo albums under his belt in 2011 and 2013, “Music, Love & Life” & “The Revelation”, the rapper has received over 60 award nominations with 15 wins around the African continent including nods and wins at the Channel O Music Video Awards, The BET Awards, The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, The MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards, The Sound City Awards, Ghana Music Awards UK and more. He recently signed a 2 year digital distribution deal with Universal Music, Africa for his next album and has performed in over 40 cities including London, Coventry, Manchester (U.K) New York, Boston, D.C (USA), Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton (Canada), Italy, Holland, Johannesburg, Capetown (South Africa) and more. D-Black has performed / opened for international acts including Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Jay Z, Busta Rhymes, Akon, Sean Paul and more on various stages.
