EARLY LIFE

Epidemix’s interest in music production grew from his love for hip hop music. He spent a lot of time in his primary school years listening to hiplife and hip hop music from artistes such as 50 Cent and Obrafuor and recording his favourite songs off the radio to his cassette recorder. His first attempt at making beats was in Junior High School with HammerHead Rhythm Station but switched to FL Studio 4 in 2007 after receiving a demo version from a friend.

While in Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon he eventually met Chip, David and Elvis Pluwn(of Catalyst Entertainment) who influenced him to start making music commercially.

He graduated from KNUST with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017. While in university he taught himself how to play keyboard and guitar while also building on his production technique and sound engineering.
